One key component to Conscious Parenting is practicing and modeling self-regulation. In this process of practiced mindfulness we teach our children how to cope with stress. This modeling also gives children the foundation to listen to their own inner voice over external influences.
Between stimulus and response, there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
Viktor E. Frankl
You don't need to navigate this journey alone. One of the greatest acts of courage & one of the best indicators of change is asking and receiving help.
Can you relate to the following -
-I can't motivate my kids.
-My kids don't listen, I have to yell.
-I feel like I'm failing as a parent.
-Parenting is not what I expected.
-There has to be an easier way.
-Maybe I can learn to parent differently.
-Maybe if I parent differently, my kids will behave differently.
-Maybe I have the power to change this dynamic.....
If you can relate, then you will benefit from a shift toward conscious parenting.
